CCP: Working and Communicating with Families (.1 CEU/1 Hour)
Description This course familiarizes students with communication techniques to use when interacting with families in a child care environment. It also discusses controlling access, medical consent, emergency notification procedures, and abuse notification.
Objectives RECALL general guidelines for communicating with families in a child care environment.
RECALL guidelines for communicating sensitive issues with parents and/or caregivers.
RECALL responsibility of a child care provider to address developmental needs with parents and/or caregivers.
IDENTIFY access control techniques used in a child care environment.
RECALL methods for reporting suspected child abuse to parents and/or the proper authorities.
RECALL the purpose of medical consent forms.
RECALL the purpose and components of an emergency plan.
RECALL emergency notification procedures used in a child care environment.
