CCP: Guidance and Discipline (.2 CEU/2 Hours)
Description This course discusses behavioral traits of children from infancy to school age, outlines steps a child care provider can take to stop problems before they start, cites possible reasons for misbehavior, and offers age-appropriate guidance and disciplinary techniques.
Objectives Terminal Objective:
Upon completion of this course, the student will have acquired knowledge of recommended procedures for handling discipline problems in a child care environment, methods for stopping discipline problems before they start, understanding common behavioral traits of children, and typical causes of misbehavior in a child care setting.
